BURLESQUE HALL OF FAME LAUNCHES FALL SCHEDULE
Burlesque museum offers entry-level classes, film screenings, and a classic Old Vegas show!
August 8, 2019 – Las Vegas, NV – The Burlesque Hall of Fame, the world’s only museum of burlesque, is pleased to offer a full slate of events for late summer and fall.
“Burlesque for Beginners” burlesque class (Wednesday nights, September 4 – October 23)
This eight-week intensive burlesque course is designed for people ready to tap into the empowerment that can come from stripping away all inhibitions and taking control of their own body. Students will learn basic moves like the bump and grind and stroll, how to use the classic props of burlesque like fans, boas and gloves, and can be part of a group act to be performed at our Oct 25 “Trick or Tease” event (see below). Registration is $400 ($380 before August 15).
“Trick or Tease” burlesque showcase (October 25, at Ron Decar’s Event Center)
Celebrate Halloween in the sexiest way possible with performances from top local performers Anita Brassiere, Banbury Cross, Blanche Debris, Charlie Starling, Darby Fox, Molly Boom Boom, and Neon, and special guest, legendary burlesque performer Tiffany Carter, Miss Nude Universe 1974. Doors at 5:30pm; show 7pm-9pm. Information and tickets available at bhof.link/trick ($49 VIP w/ plated dinner, $39 VIP w/ buffet, $29 general admission)
“B-Movies at BHoF”
- August 20, 7:30 pm – Her Wedding Night, starring Lili St Cyr
- September 17, 7:30 pm – An Evening in Bagdad, starring Mitzy Doré
- October 15, 7:30 pm – Burlesque in Hawaii, starring Val de Val
Revisit the bygone days of the grindhouse and B-movie theater with a series of free screenings of classic burlesque films from the 1950s and 1960s. Every third Tuesday of the month will feature a classic midcentury burlesque film followed by a discussion by Burlesque Hall of Fame collection manager Darby Fox. Screenings are free (donations will be accepted) and open to the public; children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Theater refreshments will be served.
BHoF is located at 1027 S Main St, #110, Las Vegas, NV 89101. We are open Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 6pm, and Sunday 12pm – 4pm. Admission $15 ($12 with Nevada ID; $10 for students, military, and seniors). More informatio9n about the museum and its programs can be found at burlesquehall.com.
