It was sad to close the museum in July, and even sadder to vacate our space over the last 6 weeks. We entered 2025 hopeful that this was the year we’d finally catch up from the huge hits we took during the pandemic, and instead…

But we’re proud of the work we’ve accomplished, both in and out of that space, and intend to keep doing that work in new ways. Every act comes to an end, but there’s always another act waiting in the wings!

We have lots in the works for our next act. Here’s a quick tease of just some of what we’re working on:

• Material from our collection will on display in new places in coming months.
• New website and social media content will be launching soon.
• Parts of our collection we’ve never been able to adequately display, including material too “spicy” to share on social media, will be available.
• We’re hoping to deepen the resources available to casual and scholarly researchers alike.
• And new merchandise is coming.

These and other projects will help sustain BHoF, but we can’t get there without your help. Closing the museum severely limited our cash flow, and new revenue will take a while to build up. Meanwhile moving and closing expenses have continued to mount, alongside the regular expenses we already expected.
