Congratulations to Raven Virginia, winner of the 2017 Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship!

As the scholarship recipient, Raven will receive a full pass to all four showcases and all Legends Master Classes during The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend at the Orleans Hotel and Casino this June 1-4, and will be paired with one of the attending Legends to act as her escort for the Weekender.

“I almost dropped my phone when the email came through that I had been chosen as the recipient of the 2017 Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship,” said Raven. “The work, art, and knowledge I aim to gain from this experience will be funneled back into our community. Thank you Burlesque Hall of Fame team and to all our Legends for the time and effort they dedicate to preserving and honouring our history!”

The Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship is intended to encourage a stronger relationship between the younger and older generations of burlesque performers and to instill a sense of service to the burlesque community. Recipients are chosen in part for their commitment to the burlesque community and to the Legends who embody our history.
