Congratulations to Egypt Blaque Knyle, winner of the 2016 Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship!

As the scholarship recipient, Egypt will receive a full pass to all four showcases and all Legends Master Classes during The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend at the Orleans Hotel and Casino this June 2-5, and will be paired with one of the attending Legends to act as her escort for the Weekender.

“I am truly honored, humbled and thankful to be awarded this opportunity to learn from our Legends who have paved the way for us,” said Egypt on learning she’d been selected for this year’s Scholarship. “Dancing is like dreaming with my soul and this journey will go down in history.”

The Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship is intended to encourage a stronger relationship between the younger and older generations of burlesque performers and to instill a sense of service to the burlesque community. Recipients are chosen in part for their commitment to the burlesque community and to the Legends who embody our history.
