This petite museum of burlesque artifacts takes visitors beyond the va va voom. Rare photos, costumes, and other archival materials about the art form make it a fun stop if you’re in Vegas. Love the donor wall of pasties, find the names of your local greats! We arrived while a tour was already in place, and it was easily to listen in while we wandered around the two rooms. That’s also Dita Von Teese’s prop martini glass! Once you’re done, wander down to check out the rest of the shops in the Arts District. – 6/23/2023 

Wider historical interest I went having a particular interest in burlesque but would recommend this museum to anyone with an interest in performance or in women’s issues. You Need to Get Off the Strip to Learn about Stripping The small specialty museum might not have impressed were it not for the energy and enthusiasm of the docent, Jeffery. He knew the history of Burlesque inside and out and also enriched our tour with some special stories of the history of how the museum got its start in the desert and was later transported to Las Vegas. Since Airchef’s wife is a former ecdysiast, this was amazing to see so many of the stars of the striptease honored here. The Story of Burlesque This museum in the downtown area tells the story of Burlesque. A docent explained the history of burlesque timeline and described the other exhibits. Looking for something different to do, MU husband suggested the Burlesque Hall Of Fame. Reluctant I went with him. Great experience. Jeffrey gave us a very interesting history of burlesque. Even though the Burlesque HOF is pretty small in terms of space, I was happy to contribute $15 and hang out by myself for 45 minutes. I had such a blast on this solo adventure. This is a fun little museum that traces the history of burlesque. I enjoy going to burlesque shows frequently and decided to stop by here to kill some time before my flight. I didn't know what to expect from entering the museum however, I left with a bigger appreciation for the art!

The entrance fee is a reasonable amount (under $15) and also includes a guided tour of the intimate space. Jeffrey was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of burlesque. I spent a little over an hour at the museum and left feeling enlightened and titillated 😉

The best part of this experience???? It's run by a 501 (c)(3) educational organization. Not only did I get to learn by visiting this lovely place… I was able to support an amazing organization that exists to preserve and educate the public about burlesque!!!

This is a fantastic museum especially for anyone who feels they've "done it all" in Vegas! Our experience was really made by our tour guide Darby, who is actually the curator of the museum. She is a vessel of knowledge, and could answer all of my boyfriends questions about the crossovers and history between Burlesque and Hollywood, and more. She is a true expert and it was fascinating to see her speak so passionately on the subject throughout the tour, pointing out stories about the different pieces they have at the museum, and then taking the time to speak with us afterwards as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fun to do in Vegas whether you enjoy history, museums, film photographs, burlesque, costumes or props, or even if you just enjoy learning! Please support this museum and go now! They also have Covid protocols in place unlike most of the rest of Vegas so the experience is a safe and uncrowded one. – 7/27/2021

We toured at the last time of the day and I wish we had gone earlier so we could have looked around after. We started our visit with a mistake. We parked a block too soon and it was a long hot walk to the venue, and cars kept blocking the walkway due to poor traffic light timing. But what we learned, there is parking RIGHT IN FRONT. Don’t make the same mistake we did! There is a bend in the road and you cannot see the facility but it is there. We saw the play Gypsy Rose at a venue and so this was part of the reason we wanted to learn more about Burlesque. I would suggest allowing an hour and a half to visit. My favorite artifact is the champagne glass. Don’t miss it! – 7/22/2021

We bought tickets in advance, and I brought one of my friends who knows a few local performers, so this visit was set up with her in mind. We had a tour guide (Jill) who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of this special art form. Everything was well laid out and thoughtfully presented. I happened to go on Super Bowl Sunday so I had the place to myself! Even got my own personal tour with a gal (I'm so sorry, I don't remember her name) who provided such in depth historical information that I would not have picked up, glossing over the wall signs. The museum includes a great collection that was once part of Exotic World. (Look up the history of Exotic World. Fascinating.) The girls doing the tours are knowledgeable about the subject as if they got a bachelor's degree in burlesque history. We had Amy( hopefully I spelled her name correctly) she was very thorough and engaging. She talked with such a passion that made you hungry for more.
