Wishlist
You can help support BHoF by helping us acquire the tools, equipment, books,and other material we need to manage the day-to-day business of running the museum, preserving the collection, and developing programming. Some of the things we need right now include:
- A scanner with a feed-through document feeder for scanning photographs without bending them.
- A 32″ flat-screen TV for showing video footage in the museum space.
- A Windows laptop or desktop computer for maintaining our collections database, inventory, digital archives, and communications software.
- Software: Adobe Creative Suite 5, Office 2010, PastPerfect (a museum collections database).
- Archival materials including acid-free, archive-quality boxes, folders, tissue paper, photo sleeves, and poster boxes.
- Display cases for both single items (like Sally Rand’s fans) and full displays (like a jewelry store case).
If you or your business is upgrading or getting rid of things on our list, please consider donating them to the Burlesque Hall of Fame. Or help us by organizing a fundraiser or donating directly (add a comment to your donation to let us know what you’d like to help us acquire). Some of these items have also been added to an Amazon wishlist (see below), from which you can order directly and your order will be shipped directly to us.
