Press Requests

While we are extremely grateful for the support of the media, BHOF Weekend is first and foremost a fundraiser for the nonprofit Burlesque Hall of Fame. As such, the number of complimentary passes available each year are extremely limited, and we reserve the right to grant them to the outlets we feel are most appropriate for our audience. Please note that submitting a request for media passes and/or photo/video credentials does not guarantee that you will receive them.

HOW TO APPLY FOR PRESS CREDENTIALS

  1. Requests for press passes must be submitted in writing a minimum of three weeks prior to the event’s start. That is, requests must be in hard copy and received no later than May 10, 2012. Requests received after this date will not be honored.
  2. All requests must be made in writing, on company letterhead, outlining the coverage being offered and anticipated publication/release date(s).
    • Address requests to: The Burlesque Hall of Fame, PO Box #580, Las Vegas NV 89125
    • While we welcome introductory requests by email, they must be followed up in writing (as described above) in order to be considered.
  3. For print publications, please include a copy of the publication with your request. If selected, you must provide at least ten (10) complimentary copies of the issue in which our coverage appears, within 60 days of the publication date.
  4. For television shows and/or documentaries (film or video): please submit a written proposal (hard copy, sent to the address above) detailing your project before May 10. If you are granted permission to film, you must provide at least ten (10) complimentary DVD copies to the BHOF upon air/release.
  5. For bloggers: while we appreciate the support of digital media professionals, we are only able to consider requests for credentials from outlets able to document an extensive (and relevant) distribution/subscriber base.
  6. For photographers: We do not give press passes to unaffiliated photographers, so please do not apply unless you can confirm that you are on assignment, with a guaranteed outlet/publishing date for your images. Independent photographers may shoot select BHOF Weekend activities, provided they register with our PR Team and agree to abide by our Photo/Video Policy & Code of Conduct.
  7. All members of the media must agree to the Photo/Video Policy & Code of Conduct. If you are unable to abide by this agreement, please do not apply.
  8. PRIOR ARRANGEMENT MUST BE MADE IN ALL CASES. Credentials will not be given out during the weekend without advance approval, even if you have valid media ID.
